The Bend is located along the Mississippi River in East Moline, Illinois, part of the bi-state region in Iowa/Illinois known as the Quad Cities. The sprawling 132 acres of prime riverfront real estate is the Quad Cities’ largest flood protected space on the river.

The hotel building at The Bend will take advantage of the spectacular Mississippi River and Park views that will be visible from each guest room. The building houses two hotels, each with it’s own distinct wing, Hyatt Place for nightly stays and Hyatt House for extended stays.

Opens February 2019

Residents at Riverbend Commons will be able to take advantage of its own high end amenities as well as the conveniences of retail and dining within the development, while landscaped open spaces and the adjacent Mississippi River will provide easy access to outdoor recreation.

Details: 48 one bedroom; 12 studio; 12 two bedroom

Apartments will be four-stories and the footprint will be 52' x 304'. The first level apartments will be garden level apartments with patios facing the park. The second, third, and fourth levels will feature apartments with balconies facing the river. The building's exterior appearance will be a mixture of cedar wood-like vertical siding, navy blue metal panels, and expansive glass facing the park. The interior finishes will be wood plank floors, solid single panel stained doors, modern cabinets, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances.

The focal point of The Bend will be a Central Park containing over three acres of public space. It will include 2 miles of paved walkways surrounded by gardens and fountains.

Details: The bandshell is part of the Central Park. The park is beautifully designed with large open green spaces and landscaping surrounding the bandshell to give you an amphitheater type feel. The park will be used for concerts, weddings and other community events. The band shell will also include concessions and bathrooms.

The Bend is master planned to include convenient access to services that residents and guests require frequently, The front of the development includes thousands of square feet for retail shopping, casual and fast food dining as well as services such as banking, drug store and gas station. These services will also be easily accessed by commuters and residences nearby The Bend.

Bank/Credit Union

Another stunning design by celebrated architect Stanley Tigerman, the bank at The Bend is just over 2,800 square feet. Situated on a 13,800-square-foot lot, there is plenty of space for several drive-thru lanes and parking. The building is both functional and striking.

Food and Beverage

13,800 square feet of The Bend’s retail space has been allotted for fast casual and fast food restaurants. Although these restaurants and their menus will be known to most customers, the look of the restaurants will be unique since they will be housed in a complex designed by celebrated architect Stanley Tigerman.

Pharmacy

With a rounded end shrouded in corrugated metal and glass and 11,795 square feet of retail space, the pharmacy at The Bend will be a convenient resource in a unique, visually appealing building.

Gas/Service Station

Functional, yet eye-catching, the gas / service station at The Bend was designed by celebrated architect Stanley Tigerman. With its cantilever roof and striking black details, the building will provide a unique service station experience. At 5,400 square feet, there will be a spacious food mart as well.

Entertainment

Event Center

Opens 2019

The Bend Event Center is a 4,111 square foot event venue and restaurant located next to the brand new Hyatt Place / Hyatt House near Frog Town and many other East Moline attractions. Floor to ceiling glass windows allow for the breathtaking views of the mighty Mississippi and Murphy Park. Venue will be used for outside ceremonies, banquets for up to 390 people, and receptions for up to 350 people. Other features include access to walkways / bike trails, exquisite in-house catering, and audio visual capabilities.
